Elmegade has is all!

Elmegade in Nørrebro has become very popular over the last year, and most locals knows where it is and what the street has to offer, and yet maybe not, because a lot of them still goes shopping in the inner city, which is sad when you can find so many great stores on just one street.

GOGGLE

Dress// Carin Wester 1299 DKR
Dress// Wackerhaus 2299 DKR
Knit// Norse Projects 1299 DKR

Goggle has three stores on Elmegade. Goggle +21 who is having shoes, Goggle PRIM which has clothes in a slightly higher price range and then Goggle which is cheaper than Goggle PRIM, but also sells clothing. I was in all three, but chose only to snap photos from PRIM as it was there they had the largest selection of clothing.

Goggle stores are super cool! PRIM was my favorite because they sell some of my favorite brands, such as Carin Wester and Wackerhaus.

The stores are owned by two men who started with just one store on the street, and then developed it to three stores. As far as I can tell, it is a very popular store, and I understand why. The cozy atmosphere and the owners themselves who is behind the disk. That's what makes Goggle pop up on my list of favorite stores. I had never been there before, but I found so many things in all of the stores that I'm sure to visit again when my next shopping spree begins.

Behind RADICAL ZOO is the designer couple Tilde and Jonas who together have created RADICAL ZOO to be Elmegade fashionzoo. And yes, it is a ZOO. With something for everyone and a lot of fun prints, it is a jungle to be in.

Besides having their own brand (RADICAL ZOO), the basement shop also has brands like American Vintage and The Local Firm.

Behind the counter you'll find Tilde who guides you through the jungle of great items of brands and the jewelry is as beautiful as they look like promoting up upon checkout. Radical ZOO is a great shop where you can find many things you simply must own. I will definitely come again!

Fünf

Cape// In Her Closet 1150 DKR
Body Stocking// Sophia Lee 599 DKR
Skirt// Froks 399 DKR

Fünf means 5 in German, and it is no wonder that the store has chosen this name, because there are 5 designers in one store, namely Sophia Lee, Em Fau, In Her Closet, Froks and Tolsing. Some designers sit in the back of the store and make their designs, while others also have their own shop somewhere else.

I love stores like this, becuse you're sure to find something that others don't not. Several times I have been tempted by the colors and the clothes in the window and gone down in Fünf to see if there was something "I just stood and lacked" and several times I have bought me poor. The designers collections are so much me and will alyays buy for a few extra 100 DKR down there, cause I know that if I've found something that I must have, I can not help but think about it all the time the next month.

The sweet shop assistants in the store will gladly help you find what you are looking for and I have no doubt that they know their store and quality inside and out.

The shop on Valdemarsgade

Valdemarsgade is next to Oenschlægersgade and has this environment. It's a side street to Istedgade where everything can happen.

Ring// 950 DKR

Earrings// 1400 DKR

Studs// 750 DKR

On Valdemarsgade there's a jewelry shop called "By Nejsum", and it's amazing! The designer behind, Thea Nejsum, makes these awesome simple and clean jewelry, which is for almost any girl. Thea Nejsum has learned to make jewelry by herself, and has been making them since she was 14 years old. Today she's 35 and has come a long way since then. Today she has 3 collections in her own name, and all of them are named after the nature, which Thea is inspired by.

The shop is reflecting in her design - simple and clean, and you feel like you have this view over the shop. In the back she has her workshop, where she's making all the ideas and samples. It's great to see a creative heads office.

Go in there, and find somethong for yourself or a gift to someone special.

Oehlenschlægersgades Fashion

Oehlenschlægersgade is overlooked by many people in Copenhagen, unfortunately. The street has the best and finest designer shops, where the designers themselves are behind the counter. I am so sorry that I had not seen the street before today. I think that I'm gonna be one of the best costumers in these shops. I really wanted to buy everything, but unfortunately I'm poor and had to settle for hearing stories behind the designs and admire the beautiful things.

MANIA

Sweater/ Vision De Reve// 590 DKR
Dress/ Mania// 890 DKR
Iphone 4 covers// 99 DKR
Mania is raw retro broadly. The designer and owner Maria Pajusalo are really pleased to find her inspiration at flea markets and loves French music and film noir and this is evident in the style of Mania.

When you get into Mania you will be overwhelmed by all the colors that are in contrast to the rough wall. Neon is specifically what you pay close attention to. The jewellerys on the table gives you a need to throw you over and see what kind of quirky designs and fun earrings there is.

You can expect that the service is top in the little shop, and I know for sure that you will be happy to look at the all the colorful cases and want to buy everything from scarves to Iphone covers home. It's a great shop where you can find some good keepers to wardrobe and jewelry casket.

aMOUSCHKA & Friends

Jewelrys/ Sowat// Bracelet 655 DKR / Rings 595 DKR
Eivine Connection earstuds/ aMouschka// 435 DKR
Chraisma necklace/ aMouschka// 1765 DKR

Mouschka is the jewelry Designer behind aMouschka, and she brought her friends into the shop as well, and you just can't help that you're fallen in love with her. She's adorable.

Mouschka is heavily inspired by the indians and their view of nature. Many of her designs have an animal that has a symbol or a quality. For example, hummingbird is "Heavenly Joy", the lion "Charisma" and the Seahorse "Harmony". There's so many sweet stories behind the jewelry and Mouschka tells them gladly.

When I asked why she picked the animals for inspiration, she said that if you're wearing a piece, the quality or symbol of the animal is integrating in you and you sort off getting the power they have.

Besides being very fond of Indian interpretation of nature, Mouschka has also ensured that a Mouschka & Friends is an ethical shop which has maked sure that the jewelry are produced in good conditions, that it is organic products or that it benefits a good purpose.

Sys Bjerre is also very fond of aMouschkas designs. She wore them in the television program "Toppen af Poppen," and besides Sys Bjerre, there are several other famous Danes wearing jewelry from the label.

Besides her own designs, aMouschka & Friends has a lot else. Organic cream from Aïny, Underwear from Under Protection and much more. Yet the store is still simple and clean.

PSSSST ... Tomorrow on 14/10 there will be 25% of all jewelry Sys Bjerre was wearing in the TV program "Toppen af Poppen".

FIEN COPENHAGEN

Skirt/ Les Couleurs Nationales/ 950 DKR
Dress/ Sarah Sirasa Copenhagen// 1199 DKR
Top/ By Petrine L.// 749 DKR

Yolanda Hernandez who is the owner and one of the designers' behind the shop "Fien" is one of the sweetest people I ever met. I came into the store and was welcomed with open arms. I was already completely sold when I took a look in the window from outside. I was looking at this beautiful hat lying there, as Yolanda's mother made.

Fien is without doubt a store with designs that do not necessarily follow fashion trends right now, but follow the designers' own style and their passion for making clothes. It's quality and personal, and very very beautiful cases. Yolanda herself does not have much of her own design hanging on the racks
, she's making her designs by ordering, but "her girls" as she so eloquently calls them, are there and it's very beautiful things, and much of it are handmade. Together, these designers have a mission: to make what they are passionate about, namely quality and usable clothing with nice and cool details.

Yolanda does not like "the right ways" inside fashion industries and would rather go her own way, and maybe it's not the season's "must-have"
trends which are in the store, it's still fucking fashionable and SO COOL!

In the small shop with workspace in the back room you will find knit hats, bags, jewelry and much more.

It is a store you MUST see!

THE VERY BEST OF VÆRNEDAMSVEJ

I went to Værnedamsvej after receiving a number of recommendations, especially from my friend Caroline. She has plagued me for 3 days to go there and shoot some pictures, cause Værnedamsvej is ih, oh so nice. And yes, it is damn nice. With all the small shops, cafes and restaurants is Værnedamsvej the new IT street. I came, I saw, I took pictures and chatted with the owners of the various shops. Here is the guide to Værnedamsvej.

SHOP.

Shirt/ Jagd Petrovski 799,-
I thought that this shirt from Jagd Petrovski was so cute! I really want it.

Shirt/ Designermarket, From Lou 499,-
I wanna use this shirt with some high waisted jeans. It's really adorable!

Sweater/ Em Fau 699,-
I loved the blue color that this sweater had. I need for the winter.

When you enter Shop. you'll first and foremost meet, the relaxed atmosphere that is in the room with the sumptuous decor. There's no doubt that this is something the four owners have thought about alot. The clothes on the racks are in color order, while the jewelry hanging in branches and placed on tree stumps. The interior style is raw and natural in a cool way like the clothes.

The four designers behind shop. Stine Alslev (Jagd Petrovski), Maja Haar (Miss), Mie (Em Fau) and Isabella Molberg (Molberg). Each of them have their own brand which is also available in the store, Isabella Molberg design "Molberg" is not in the store until some time in November.

The emphasis is on quality and service above all limits and as Stine (one of the owners) said, "If you're missing something, then we'll there right away!". Yes, hyperbole promotes understanding, but the girls really is serviceminded. Among other things, the girls  offers to the clothes for you for free. So if you for example is a size 40 at the bottom and a 36 in the upper part they will happily sew in or out for your body targets.

The store is one of the nicest shops I've ever seen, and there are many super exciting things and fun decorations.

JAKOBI

Jakobi is the cozy little Italian / French shop on Værnedamsvej where you find the best leather, which the owner Amir has hand-picked on his travels to Europe's southern fashion cities like Paris and Milan.

I went into the Jakobi when I heard the pleasant French music and saw all leather bags placed on the shelves. It was a bit like going to the markets in Milan, where the highest quality of leather goods are sold.

Jakobi primarily sells no clothes, but as a former knitwear designer Amir is, he can't resist everything, and buys what he think could be good for the shop.

The former Friis & Company design chief's emphasis on the fine leather bags and to buy only one thing of each, so when there is nothing left it's sold out.

The shop is closed 3-4 days every other month, so Amir can go to the fashion fairs in southern Europe to find inspiration and bags etc. to Jackobi.

There is not only bags and clothing in the store, but also jewelry, hats, shoes and much more. So if you are near by Værnedamsvej give it a shot. It is really nice and gives you an experience of south Europe.

MADAM MY

Dress/ Day Birger Et Mikkelsen 900,-
This dress was so pretty! I can combine it with everything in my wardrobe. But my favorite look would be with my Acne Hybria boots and a cool blazer.

Trousers/ AJ.117 Project 1000,-
They are AMAZING! You can use these during the week and in the weekend you can spice them up with some high heels, a tee and maybe a blazer. (They were my favorite item)

Skirt/ BZR Bruuns Bazar 700,-
I just started to wear skirts, and this one is pretty cool. It has so many cool details, which I believe is important so it doesn't look like all the other black skirts.

Madam My is the hippest store on the corner of Værnedamsvej and Gl. Kongevej. With brands such as Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Rützou, Vero Moda and Selected Femme, is the shop the best known on Værnedamsvej. You are always greeted by the sweet, smiling sales assistants who really wants to help you find something in Madam My's large selection of clothing and shoes.

The large store has filled the stands up to the trench and gets new items home everyday.

The shop is very relaxed, and with their hugh fittingroom you totally want to try the clothes on (I'm pretty happy with large fittingroom, since I don't feel so stuffy their).

Madam My has something for everyone. There's the feminine, the raw, the bohemian and more relaxed look. They just have something for every occasions.

I have several times been to Madam My just to buy a pair of cheaper pants, cause I know that this shop has very different kind of prices. This is also due to the many different brands they sell, but Madam My has presumed to put all our "must-go-in" stores into one store.
